Prefabricated liquid cooling and field services, from Toronto

NextGenergy is a Toronto-based liquid-cooling company. We plan and design liquid-cooled AI data centres, deliver them as prefabricated skids, CDUs, ORv3 racks and cooling plant, and provide field testing, commissioning and operations for the liquid loop across North America. Every boundary is handed over with its evidence.

What we do

Two things. First, prefabricated liquid cooling systems: we plan and design the liquid-cooled compute hall and deliver the cooling system as a coordinated package of prefabricated skids, ORv3 racks, CDUs and cooling equipment, with interfaces and acceptance criteria agreed before manufacture. Products are built to our specification by manufacturing partners we qualify.

Second, field testing, verification and operations for liquid-cooled halls across North America, on systems we supplied and on systems we did not: four commissioning gates with written criteria, and a three-tier operations programme for the cooling loop, not the servers. We write the specification, qualify the field teams and hold the records; licensed and insured partner companies perform the regulated site work.

Liquid cooling is bought as components and fails as a system. Cold-plate makers, CDU makers, rack integrators and facility contractors each warrant their own boundary. We are accountable for the line, within a written scope and written acceptance criteria, and we hand over the evidence for every boundary.

Where we come from

Our founding team built and operated liquid-cooled compute before it was called AI infrastructure: immersion first, then direct-to-chip at volume, in cold climates where free cooling was abundant and the fluid was the hard problem, and in places where the reject heat found buyers in district networks and greenhouses. Those years produced the three ideas this company is built around: the thermal path, return-water grade and the three clocks.

They also produced a habit we now enforce on ourselves: a number goes out with its boundary attached, or it does not go out.

How we work with partners

We work with equipment manufacturers, rack integrators, design firms and field-service partners, with the division of work agreed project by project. Our manufacturing partners build to our specifications and FAT protocols; our integration partners deploy with our commissioning plans. Responsibility for supply, interface management, test records and customer service is confirmed in writing before the project starts. See Partners.

Who you contract with, and who stands behind it

QuestionAnswer
Who do I sign with? You contract with the NextGenergy company for your region in North America; it is named in the quotation.
What can I buy?Individual products, an integrated system, commissioning and verification on their own, or an operations programme. See Products and Services.
Which parts are your own design?Skids, racks and manifolds are designed by us and built to our specification by manufacturing partners we qualify. CDUs and heat-rejection equipment are selected from established manufacturers and integrated by us.
Who warrants the equipment? Each item carries its manufacturer's warranty. The NextGenergy company you contract with stands behind it and acts as your single service window, coordinating diagnosis, remediation and manufacturer warranty handling. Equipment warranty, system performance responsibility and service response are set out separately in the contract.
Who tests, and who witnesses? On systems we supply, factory and site tests are performed by us and witnessed and signed off by the owner or the owner's authorised representative. When you engage us to verify a system supplied by others, you set the scope; that verification is testing and records against agreed criteria, not third-party certification.
Who does the site work?Qualified, licensed local partners engaged for your project, working to our specification and acceptance criteria. Professional engineering, where required, is carried out by licensed engineers engaged by the owner.
What does the owner provide?Site access and conditions, the IT equipment data and operating limits from the server OEM, the owner's engineer where one is required, and acceptance of the turnover package.
Where do you work?Anywhere in North America. Projects are coordinated from Toronto; attendance and response times are agreed per contract.

Track record

Our founding team has delivered nearly 1,000 MW of liquid cooling through the company they built before NextGenergy. See representative projects.
